What is LPIC?
Linux Professional Institute Certifications are the defacto Linux certification exams. The LPI Certification program is designed to certify the competency of system administration using the Linux operating system and its associated tools. It is designed to be distribution and vendor neutral, following the Linux Standards Base and other relevant standards and conventions used by the Free and Open Source Software community around the world.

If you want to test your skills before taking an LPI exam or even before taking the official LPI training , you can register
in this LPI C1 simulation exams (101 , 102 ).

After being Certified your name will be added to the international Linux database of the LPI the Osprey database, which is the main supplier for the International Enterprises around the world with the qualified Linux professionals.

you will get also a verification code after being certified which will give you the opportunity to introduce your self and your qualification in a clear and trusted way

How to Take an LPI Exam ?

LPI Exams are a CBT Exams i.e. Computer Based Test Exam , so after being sure that you are qualified to pass the LPI Exam you can register incautiously in any VUE approved center which will provide the online LPI Exam for you.

How do I register for the exam?
In order to appear for the exam you have to complete the following steps:

Register as a LPI Candidate and receive an ID at:
http://www.lpi.org/en/lpi/english/certification/register_now

When will candidates be notified about their results?
The results will be viewed immediately by the candidates after finishing the CBT Exam , and then emailed to the candidates .

How much does it cost?
*Note: Candidates may pay the fees in Egyptian Pounds but US Dollars are recommended, the exchange rate will be announced prior to exams (inclusive of difference of conversion rates).

Level 1
The usual cost for LPIC Exam Labs are USD $155 (approximately L.E.860) per exam paper, LPI Egypt will provide discounted Paper Based Tests for Level 1. The discounted cost of the local exams will be L.E.555 (this is only an example) per Level 1 exam paper.

For example, if you are sitting for the LPIC 101 and LPIC 102 Exam Labs, your total cost for taking the exam will be L.E.1100 (this is only an example). This price may change over time according to availability of stock and examination budget.

Level 2
This Exam Lab is being offered at its usual cost of USD 155 per exam paper. The total cost for LPIC 201 & LPIC 202 is US$310 (discounted price will be announced near the exam sitting date).

Level 3
This Exam Lab is being offered at its usual cost of USD 155 per exam paper. The total cost for LPIC 301 & LPIC 302 is US$310(discounted price will be announced near the exam sitting date).

LPI, as a vendor-independent organization, does not have an “official” single method of test preparation. We encourage publishers, schools and training centers to work together within the community to encourage choice, flexibility and innovation. Nevertheless, we also encourage the development of traditional training programs through our LPI Approved Training Partners (LPI-ATP).
